poem?

turn out the lights. turn out the city. turn out your mind.
look at the sky. capture my dream. look back, stop and rewind...

the dream i had was indeed beautiful, capturing the light of the sky perfectly
but as i try to see it in my awakened self, the lights block it just barely.

so turn out the lights, to see the sky, to see your mind in play.
for you see, this lighting i see is in the night, not much so in the day.

the sky needs no moon, nor stars, nor clouds.
the light is from the sky itself, with glow it is not aloud.

not allowed in the real world perhaps, but in my mind and in my dreams,
i see it clearly, almost entirely perfect at times it seems...

this "glow" that i see, so sweetly in my dreams. its there always to see
but im afraid, that in real life....it just may never be...

but of course there are exceptions. especially for a midnight glow
for sometimes these things happen. perhaps in my life time.....who knows..?
